This is mom real quick:
We have our family blog (luckylarsonslostinkorea.blogspot.com), but I wanted the kids to tell about Korea in their own words and experiences. I ask them a basic question such as: Tell me about yourself--Then I type in exactly what they say. Even the pictures posted will be mostly taken by them.
Introducing Little Larson Lady #1: Sedona Gene (Aka: Squirt)
Hi. I am Sedona, the oldest and I'd like to tell you about things that I like and stuff like that. And also I would like to tell you what I think Korea will be like.
First off, I am going to tell you stuff that I like. I really like art and when I grow up I want to be an artist. I love to explore and sometimes I change my mind from an artist to an explorer and I'd like to tell you a little bit about what I think Korea will be about.
I think it will be a big city, with tall tall buildings. And I also think that they might have some weird food, but the thing is, I am really into the ocean and I like fish and the market is there and it will be outside and all the fish will still be alive, so, all the stores outside will kind of be like aquariums and I can't wait to see all the different kinds of fish and I would like to see the ocean and when I go back to school I am going to tell everyone about my trip to Korea.
My brother and sister most of the time think I am a very good big sister, and that they really like that I am their big sister and I know that my family is happy that I was sent to them.
I think it will be a great experience and when I come back I want to share it with everybody. I would like to tell them what it is like there.
Thank you for letting me talk
Introducing Little Lady #2: Pepper Faye (Aka: Firecracker)
I am going to say the way you say your name in Korean---says *I am Pepper* in Korea.
I like art and I excited to go to that place and I use to be afraid, and now I am not. I think it will be an amazing adventure and it is going to be really fun and we are going to meet lots of new things, and I think that all the people are going to be different, and there will be different homes, and stuff, and plants, and like, different little triangle houses and big tall ones, and its going to look like a huge city, but actually it's not.
I love to be sunny and I love my sister and my baby brother because my baby brother is kind of a helper, when he does accidents he helps pick up. My sister is great because she helps take care of me and helps keep an eye on us.
I love to color and draw stuff and I think that this is going to be an amazing trip and when we come home we won't even understand that language that we are speaking.
Today for my field trip, today, I got to go fishing. It was my last day and we caught one a little while later after he got there, cause I took the bus and my dad took the car, and we caught a fish and then my dad was sitting in his seat and found another set up hook and before that a guy come over and said "did you bring your own powerbait?" Dad said "no" and the guy gave him some and said "this works good. we were catching them like crazy." Then my dad took the hook and put a big blob of that and he just sitted there--so like 5 minutes later I am rolling in my fishing wheel cause my dad felt a tug, and I had two fish! One on each hook. And I broke my record of just one fish, so I am lucky cause that was my last chance and apparently I broke it. So when you find something lucky you use it and you might have something come up with it.
Introducing Little Larson#3: Wheeler Lucas (Aka: Little Man)
(Sedona and Pepper will tell me what to write for Wheeler)
Sedona: The little man is always playful and has something to do. He is most of the time he is kind of nice. He is a great baby and I am pretty sure when we go to Korea he will have a great experience there and when it is time to go he will be like *No. I don't want to go* I think he is a good baby and when he grows up he will make a good choice on what he wants to and he will make a good choice on everything he will do and if will get married and if he has kids--I know he will be a great dad. (she got teary eyed and a little choked up. When I asked if she was said, she told me "no, I have just never had to describe Wheeler before.")
I think he is a very smart baby, he can figure out most everything out. He really likes being outdoors. and I think he will really like being outdoors alot and I hope he likes it in Korea and I think he will and he will have great time and most of the time we don't even know what he is saying and my dad thinks that Wheeler is already speaking Korean--he barely even knows English!
He loves tractors
Pepper: what am I doing? Is this about me again? Oh! Wheeler? Wheeler is a handsome little guy and a smart one. Every time he sees a tractor he yells tractor and runs to it and we are like "no buddy, sorry". And also Wheeler likes phones, and cows and horses and he especially likes me. He calls both me and my sister Pepper and we tell him, her name is Sedona, and he says "no Pepper" and sometimes calls her S-Pepper.
Wheeler: Ha ha ha ---
Mom: what do you like
Wheeler: tractor
Mom: Are you excited to go to Korea?
Wheeler: A ball? Thank you.
Mom: What are we going to eat in Korea?
Wheeler: Crackers? Mommy I want a cracker. I want a cracker, mommy. Please.
Mom: Are you going to want to come back to America?
Wheeler: Doo doo--unhunnn Pepper? Tractor?
